3. Squirrel Crafts

Let’s craft with our squirrel templates and find some fun craft supplies you can use on your squirrel’s tail.

Here are some cool tail ideas for your squirrel:

  • Feathers
  • Leaves
  • Sticks
  • Pom poms
  • Stickers
  • Paper Stripes
  • Handprints
  • Fingerprints

If you glue them on the squirrel’s tail it will have a nice 3D effect. The rest of the body is simply colored with crayons or markers.

4. Squirrel Coloring Pages

The easiest way of using our templates is as squirrel coloring pages. Take our large squirrel outline printables and turn them into squirrel coloring sheets.

To adjust the difficulty level for older children, simply give them the smaller squirrel outlines.

They can also use a different painting technique that challenges them.

We for example love Salt Painting. Have you tried it yet? It is really fun and will give your squirrel a nice 3D look to it!

Another great way is using the Bubble Wrap Technique, Painting with Pom Poms, or Straw Blow Art.

The full tutorials can be found in the links above!

In case you are tired of regular art projects, use our squirrel printouts and turn them into easy squirrel stencils.

To repurpose them into squirrel stencils, I recommend using smaller or medium-sized squirrel outlines.

My most loved painting technique for stencils is using an old toothbrush. With the help of watercolors, you can create beautiful artwork.

You can find the complete Toothbrush Technique Guide here.

Enjoy!
